Roman Catholic registers
Roman Catholic registers for our city are held at Lancashire Archives. Central Library also has an incomplete set of microfilm copies for some parishes in Manchester city centre. These are listed in the church register list.
The Manchester and Lancashire Family History Society have started to create an index to people named in the Manchester Roman Catholic registers.
