Manchester Day 2026 St Ann's Square

Immerse yourself in book-themed fantasy outside the Royal Exchange. See Birdcage Stage’s colourful reimagining of Alice’s Wonderland and Told by an Idiot’s duelling Shakespeares.

At St Ann’s Church expect pop-up shows from Barcelona. See thought-provoking dance and street theatre from Elelei and Compania Kamchàtka. Catch Company Chameleon working with Catalan artists Clementine and Lisard. Plus, follow the story of a herd of hippos in Zum‑Zum Theatre’s production.

There will also be harp performances from Rebecca Mills throughout the day.
