Manchester Day 2026 Manchester Day Parade

The spectacular Manchester Day Parade starts from St Peter’s Square at 1pm.

It will bring together over 500 performers and feature community groups from across Manchester and beyond.

Marvel at larger‑than‑life characters and the rich cultural heritage of the city as its diverse communities come out to play.

Giant puppets and bold costumes inspired by Catalan tradition will also take to the streets.

Plus, enjoy samba bands, dance troupes and community performers.

The parade is brought to life by local people working alongside artists in workshops. It is also created through international collaborations. Expect an energetic, citywide celebration of creativity, culture and community.

This year’s parade will start at St Peter’s Square before travelling down Peter Street onto Deansgate. After heading down Deansgate, it will turn onto St Mary’s Gate, then continue along Cross Street and Princess Street, before returning to St Peter’s Square.
