Special circumstances and declarations
To register a stillbirth:
Email: registeroffice@manchester.gov.uk
Please include:
- your name
- your phone number
- the date and place of the stillbirth.
We will contact you as soon as possible.
If your baby was born outside Manchester
A birth must be registered by the register office for the area where the birth happened.
But if you live in Manchester, you may be able to provide the birth information to them through a declaration.
A declaration allows us to send your information to the register office responsible for registering the birth.
Not all register offices can take declarations, so contact us before making an appointment.
