New operators have been appointed to run Heaton Park Golf Course on behalf of Manchester City Council.
Heaton Park Golf - led by PGA Professional Andrew Terry and Joe Jackson - will take responsibility for the course, with all welcome to tee off from Friday 14 February.
Andrew - who has more than 20 years' experience of working in the golf industry - and his team currently run Marland Golf Course, in Rochdale.
The Heaton Park course, which was temporarily closed while the council carried out a process to identify new operators, has been maintained by greenkeepers through the winter, in preparation for reopening to the public.
The café in the golf pavilion is open for all park users, while plans are in place to open a café hut on the pitch and putt course, to provide drinks and snacks.
Executive Member for Skills, Culture and Leisure, Councillor Luthfur Rahman, said: "I'd like to offer a warm welcome to Heaton Park Golf and am pleased they will be bringing their expertise to Heaton Park, ensuring that the course continues to make golf accessible to as wide a range of people as possible.
"They share our aims for a family-friendly, welcoming facility which will be a sustainable part of the park for generations to come."
Andrew Terry, of Heaton Park Golf, said: "We are delighted to announce that the course will reopen this Friday. We'd like to thank Manchester City Council for their support throughout this process and are looking forward to working with them to provide affordable golf for everyone."
