Routine cleaning and maintenance work to the Glade of Light memorial will take place from Tuesday 3 May ahead of the fifth anniversary of the 22 May 2017 attack.
The marble halo centrepiece of the memorial, which bears the names of the 22 people who were killed in the attack will be cordoned off for a few days to enable this to take place.
The work will be completed in time for the formal opening event for the Glade of Light which will take place on the afternoon of Tuesday 10 May 2022. Details of this invitation-only event, along with some of the various ways the city will be marking the anniversary on 22 May, will be announced shortly.
The memorial will be open throughout 22 May to anyone who wishes to pay their respects.
