About this library
Ten years ago we were housed in a former pub – The Bobbin on Grey Mare Lane. Bit grim outside, but a lovely atmosphere inside, lots of youngsters used the Homework Club.What a difference today! Young people are still our main users – but we’re in a wonderful, bright, modern glass-fronted library with light flooding in to the beautifully equipped building we share with the East Manchester Academy. No dusty books or ‘quiet please’. Locals are welcome. Just walk in the doors and drink in the atmosphere.

Regular opening times
- Monday to Wednesday 9am to 5pm
- Thursday 9am to 7pm
- Friday closed
- Saturday 9am to 4.30pm
Age Friendly Hour
Monday, 10am to 11am is Age Friendly hour when our older customers get priority support and a friendly welcome.
Story Time
Story time for under 5s runs weekly during term time only, Wednesday from 11am to 11:30am
