Parks, leisure and the arts Want to be a fireworks night volunteers?

We're looking for volunteers to help make this year's fireworks events safe, welcoming and accessible for everyone.

As a volunteer, you'll act as a wayfinder, helping visitors find their way around the event, providing information and directions, and supporting a positive experience for all attendees. You'll play an important role in ensuring accessibility and inclusivity are at the heart of the celebrations.

What you'll be doing

Volunteers will be positioned at key locations across the parks, including:

  • Entrances and exits
  • Main routes to and around the event
  • Visitor information points

You'll help visitors as they arrive and leave, answer questions, and direct people to the facilities and areas they need.

Time commitment

Volunteers will need to be on site from 4pm until approximately 9.30pm, once attendees have safely left the park.

Training and support

You'll receive:

  • A volunteer handbook
  • Briefings before and on the day of the event
  • A dedicated staff contact at your assigned site
