Filming
Enquiries or requests for filming and photography need to be submitted to Screen Manchester, our film office. They deliver a comprehensive support service for all levels of production in the city. The team provides an industry respected service that makes producing content a seamless and first-class experience.
- Once you've discussed your initial requirements with Screen Manchester, they will liaise with us to get the required permissions, organise a site visit as applicable and determine a charging fee if appropriate.
- All bookings for filming must adhere to the conditions of use and provide evidence of Public Liability Insurance. Additional sites may be able to be accommodated upon request.
- Manchester City Council is a signatory of the Film Friendly Partnership Charter, with representatives from surrounding local authorities and Creative England. This charter ensures cooperation and signifies a collective commitment to promote filming in the region, recognising its culture and economic benefit.
