The Department for Transport Challenge Fund

We were awarded £6.345m of Tranche 1 Challenge Fund money towards a £8.037m programme of works on several of the city's key routes. These were: Hyde Road, Stockport Road, Palatine Road, Broadway, Cheetham Hill Road and Alan Turing Way. 

These works have now been completed.

We have now submitted a further bid for Tranche 2b funding to carry out more resurfacing works on three other key routes (Oldham Road, Ashton Old Road and Barlow Moor Road) as well as an Expression of Interest for additional funding for essential maintenance on the Mancunian Way.
