Tracts were small booklets or pamphlets that contained ideas or views and were used for religious or political purposes. They were either handed out or put in places for people to find.
We hold a unique collection of mainly 19th century tracts including:
- reports from committees
- parliamentary debates
- speeches and transactions of learned societies that give a distinct flavour of their era.
