Middleham Street and Lloyd Street South

The Council of the City of Manchester in exercise of its power under Section 129A (1) of the Highways Act 1980 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers being satisfied that the conditions set out in Section 129A (3) of the Act have been met hereby makes the following Order

Except as provided in Article 2 of this Order no person shall use the public right of way over the alleyway ("the Highway") described in the Schedule to this Order at any time.

The restriction in Article 1 of this Order shall not apply to any person who lives in premises adjoining the Highway or to any police, ambulance or fire service personnel acting in pursuance of statutory powers or duties or to any statutory undertaker, gas, electricity, water or communications provider requiring access to their apparatus situated in the Highway

Barriers may be installed, operated and maintained at each end of the Highway. Private Sector Housing, Central Operations Division is responsible for maintaining and operating any barriers. Their contact telephone number is 0161 234 4904

The alternative route for pedestrians which is available for use during the period the Highway is restricted is by using the highways of Middleham Street, Ebberstone Street, Lloyd Street South and the highway to the side of 25 Lloyd Street South and 28 Middleham Street.

Alleyway to the rear of 2 - 28 Middleham Street / 3 - 25 Lloyd Street South for a length of 57 metres and for the full width.
