    If you want to deal in second-hand goods you must be registered with us.

    The premises where the business is conducted must also be registered with us.

  3. Processing and timescales

    Within 28 days of the application being received a certificate will be issued and forwarded to the Trading Standards Department to be signed, this may take up to a further 5 working days to process.

    Registration will last for a period of three years from the day the entry is made in the register. For registration to continue, a person must apply to renew their registration before the end of this 3 year period.
