    This service uses personal information, such as:

    Name, Address, Email, Telephone number

    The service does not use special categories of personal data or personal data relating to criminal convictions and offences.

    The Council uses your personal data for the following reasons:

    • To process your application to official register the address(es).
    • To verify that you are permitted to register, change or update an official address.
    • Where required to raise invoices to collect payment.
    • To provide you with official documentation of an official address which you can use as proof of registration to obtain other services such as utilities, mortgages etc.

    We collect and use this information to perform our public duties in the naming streets and the numbering of properties (Art 6(1)(e) of the UK General Data Protection Regulation)

  5. Where has the personal information come from?

    Personal Information has been given to us by you, the applicant.

  6. Who will we share your personal information with?

    In order to comply with our public duties we need to notify all interested parties of the official address(es).

    To do this, we send a notification of the new address(es), together with your name, address, telephone number and email address to other Council services, including (but not limited to) council tax, business rates and electoral.

    We also need to share your application with external statutory undertakings and public bodies to make them aware of the existence of any new address(es). This includes (but not limited to) Royal Mail, Emergency Services, Ordnance Survey, Land Registry, Valuation Office. When notifying external bodies, we will remove your personal information and contact details.

  7. Automated decision making and profiling

    The Council does not use your personal data for automated decision making or profiling.
