  1. Ward-specific objectives

    Nature and Biodiversity:

    • Run one planting activity with the community to help local wildlife by the end of 2025.
    • Create a green walking route that links parks and green spaces in the ward by summer 2025.

    Young People:

    • Run at least one climate change workshop with school pupils by July 2025.
    • Help one new school join the Eco-Schools programme by July 2025.

    Transport, Active Travel, Air Quality:

    • Ensure the new green walking route includes age-friendly features like benches to help older residents stay active by summer 2025.
    • Run two Dr Bike sessions by the end of 2025:
      • One in a school.
      • One at a community venue.

    Things We Buy, Use and Throw Away:

    • Help one community venue set up a recycling system for hard-to-recycle plastics by summer 2025.
    • Hold a recycling pop-up event during National Recycling Week 2025.

    Food:

    • Organise a visit to an allotment for a community group to learn about growing food by spring 2025.
    • Run a vegetable and herb growing activity for residents in housing without gardens by the end of 2025.

    Homes and Energy Efficiency:

    • Make sure all neighbourhood events include energy and debt advice by April 2026.
    • Share retrofit tips and the government’s retrofit website at all events by April 2026.

    Engagement, Raising Awareness, Influencing Change:

    • Fund at least two local climate projects through the Neighbourhood Investment Fund by April 2026.
    • Deliver climate change leaflets and resources to all local community venues by April 2026.
