  1. What's happening

    Crescent Avenue – pedestrian guard rails, bee bollards and flags

    New pedestrian guard rails, bee bollards, and flags have been installed to improve safety and appearance on Crescent Avenue.

    New litter bins on Crescent Road

    Two new litter bins have been installed on Crescent Road, between Chataway Road and Ash Tree Road, to help keep the area clean.

    Bee bollards on the corner of Glenmore Road and Hazelbottom Road

    Three Bee bollards have been installed for safety. This includes one replacement bollard and two new bollards at the corner of Glenmore Road and Hazelbottom Road.

    Abraham Moss Metrolink to Greenstead Avenue passageway

    The project has been revised to include the following improvements:

    • Installation of a pedestrian chicane gate
    • Vegetation clearance
    • Resurfacing of damaged pathways

    A contractor has been engaged, and we are awaiting a confirmed delivery date. This project aims to improve local paths, spaces, and reduce anti-social behaviour.

    Other projects

    • We're installing a guard rail, fixing 14 "Bee" bollards, lifting a crossing point, and lifting flags and laying tarmac on Crescent Avenue.
    • We're painting the rails and entrance at Crumpsall Park.
    • We're repairing steps at Crumpsall Park.
    • We're painting the wildflower garden in Crumpsall.
    • We're adding double yellow lines and a traffic regulation order on Chataway Road and Crescent Road.
    • We're making highway repairs on Bury Old Road, including reinstating block paving and replacing tarmac.
    • We're adding 15 age-friendly benches.
    • We're extending the yellow lines on Smedley Road.
    • We're adding 14 H bar road markings on Crescent Road and Greenhill Road Mossbank.
    • We're improving the footpath in Crumpsall Park.
    • We're installing a kickrail fence outside 121 Smedley Road.
