What's happening
Appleford Drive - basketball court wall rendering
Clean and Green funding was used to help bring the old, derelict basketball court on Appleford Drive back into use. The work included:
- Cutting back vegetation around the perimeter
- Sanding down and repainting the existing basketball frames (which had large sections of peeling paint and rust)
- Rendering the old, decaying wall
This was part of the Improving Play initiative.
Shaftesbury Road - various alleyway repairs
The alleyway repairs on Shaftesbury Road improve security and access for residents, making the area safer and more accessible for everyone. This is part of the Safer Neighbourhood initiative.
