Our rivers, our city strategy

  1. This strategy looks at the city’s water management as part of the wider Our Manchester Strategy. It aims to:

     

    • improve the quality and function of river valleys and catchments
    • ensure river valleys and sustainable drainage are key components of new developments
    • improve accessibility to river valleys
    • promote a wider understanding of the benefits of river valleys and sustainable drainage
    • improve flood management and risk mitigation.
