This privacy notice relates to Strangeways and Cambridge Street Enterprise Project and its aims to support local businesses to prosper and thrive. This project falls under the Council’s Work and Skills Service and we work with Salford City Council to deliver this project.

What personal information does this service use?
Where you have opted in to receive support from us we collect and use personal information about you, including your name, ethnicity, health status, home and business addresses, date of birth, email, phone number, National Insurance number, gender, and employment status. We also gather business-related details such as your company registration number, industry type, the support you’ve requested or received, and your feedback on the outcomes.

What is your personal information used for?
To assess the effectiveness and take up of our information service and to identify the types of users so that it can be better tailored to meet the needs of our partners, local businesses and residents.
We may send you information about events and activities, but we will only do this with your consent. You can opt out any time.

What is the lawful basis we are relying on?
We will only use your personal data where it is necessary and we are under a legal obligation to do so (Art 6(1)(c) of the UK General Data Protection Regulations (UK GDPR)), or where it is necessary in order to perform our public tasks and duties as a Local Authority (Art 6(1)(e) of the UK GDPR).
We rely on your consent under Article 6 (1) (a) of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (‘UK GDPR’) where this applies to information about events and activities that you have subscribed to receive.

Where has the personal information come from?
Any personal information we hold about you will come directly from you. We may receive information, such as updates, about you from our providers where you have engaged with them e.g. agreed to attend a training course.

Who will we share your personal information with?
Information is shared between Manchester City Council, Salford City Council and The Greater Manchester Combined Authority, as our partners for the project, for monitoring and performance purposes as required for the Local Growth and Place Flexible Grant Funding Agreement. Information may also be shared with a relevant third-party provider to directly arrange for the business support that we have discussed with you.
