  1. Clean, green and safer neighbourhoods make our city attractive. They help us feel better and safer where we live, work, study and visit.

    These are the projects that have been funded by the Clean and Green investment in your neighbourhood so far. The 'completed' projects were finished in 2024 and 2025. The 'in delivery' projects are scheduled for 2026 and 2027.

    Completed projects

    Chorlton Ees and Ivy Green – park signage

    New park signs have been installed to improve navigation.

    Local junctions – traffic management scheme

    Double yellow lines have been introduced at Whitelow, York, Nicholas and Ryebank Roads to improve junction safety.

    St Clement’s Road – school safety improvements

    Pavements have been built out to improve safety near school entrances.

    Projects in delivery

    Kensington Road – parking controls

    Junction improvement including double yellow lines and bollards are being scheduled to improve road safety.
