  1. Clean, green and safer neighbourhoods make our city attractive. They help us feel better and safer where we live, work, study and visit.

These are the projects that have been funded by the Clean and Green investment in your neighbourhood so far. The 'completed' projects were finished in 2024 and 2025. The 'in delivery' projects are scheduled for 2026 and 2027.

  2. What's happening

    Completed Projects

Heaton Road, Brunswick Road and Alan Road – pedestrian safety improvements

Vegetation was cut back and pathways resurfaced to improve visibility and accessibility for pedestrians.

    Bins

All on-street bins across the ward have been replaced as part of the August 2024 to August 2025 programme, and park bins in disrepair in Ladybarn Park. Find out more about bin installation and the efforts to fight litter.

    Projects in delivery

    Kingswood Park – accessibility upgrades

Pathways will be resurfaced and two wheelchair‑friendly metal benches installed to enhance access for all visitors.

    Ladybarn Park – new benches

Three new benches will be installed to provide more seating areas within the park.

Talbot Road / Wald Avenue – new pedestrian island

A pedestrian island will be installed to make crossing the road safer.

    Whimberry Way – H‑bars

New H‑bars are going to be installed outside properties to prevent obstructive parking.

  3. Updates
