Our Parks, Our Plan 2025-28 outlines how we'll improve and protect Manchester's parks over the next three years. This plan builds on achievements since 2017 and addresses emerging challenges and opportunities. It ensures our parks continue to meet the needs of residents and visitors.
Manchester's parks are essential to community life. They make us healthier, happier, and more connected. They provide vital environmental benefits as 'green lungs' for our city. They also reduce carbon pollution and create spaces to engage with nature.
This strategy reflects what residents have told us. They've said they value their parks and want more ownership of these spaces. Over 90% of consultation respondents use the city's green spaces regularly. All this highlights the importance of parks to daily life in Manchester.
