Homes and property Check if your landlord has a licence

Some landlords and organisations who manage privately rented properties need a licence from us to rent out properties.

There are two different types of licensing for privately rented accommodation:

Check if a property is registered as an HMO or has a selective licence

Request information for a property which should be licensed.

If you would like to report any property that you believe should be licensable under HMO licensing or require information on a specific HMO that doesn't appear on this register

Licensing leads to decent housing standards and better management of properties for private tenants. It helps us improve neighbourhoods for the whole community.
