Consultations and surveys Budget 2020/21

Climate emergency

This year, we’ve updated our priorities to include more investment in the environment. This includes action to cut our carbon emissions by 50% over the next five years, as we aim to make Manchester zero-carbon in line with our 2019 declaration of a climate emergency. This spending will ensure that our city’s growth into a top- ranking world city is good growth that brings good jobs and opportunities, and that all our residents have the skills to take up those jobs.
