Glade of Light memorial

The most significant improvement we are adding to our plans is the Glade of Light, the permanent memorial to the 22 people who lost their lives in the 22 May 2017 terrorist attack, will be located within the Medieval Quarter and sensitively incorporated into the plans.
The design and location have been selected in ongoing consultation with the families who lost loved ones and their views around the memorial are significant, to ensure that it evokes memories of those who lost their lives and is a fitting and lasting tribute. The memorial is also designed to be a place of quiet contemplation and reflection, for all of those injured in and affected by the events of 22 May 2017.
