Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and partners have prepared a draft Strategic Regeneration Framework (SRF) to guide the redevelopment of North Manchester General Hospital site.
We are excited to share our plans for two new hospitals offering acute and mental health care plus:
- A wellbeing hub with meeting rooms, community cafe and allotments
- Education and training facilities for hospital staff
- Opportunities for local residents to learn new skills and access jobs at the campus.
The proposals also include a ‘healthy neighbourhood’ with a village green at its heart, offering:
- Key worker and extra care accommodation
- Social housing
- Office space for local businesses.
The ‘Strategic Regeneration Framework’ document outlines our ambitious proposals to regenerate the site, leading to better health and wellbeing for local people.
