We want to know how you feel about our proposals to continue with our arrangements for the control of dogs within the city. This would involve:

• Extending the following Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs) for a period of up to 3 years:
  • Dog fouling (including having means to pick up)
  • Dogs on leads by direction 
  • Dogs specified maximum (no more than 4)
• Varying the following PSPOs for a period of up to 3 years to update the areas from which dogs are excluded and to change the arrangements in all cemeteries and crematoria so that dogs are no longer excluded but must instead be kept on a lead:
  • Dog exclusion areas
  • Dogs on lead on the public highway / other identified areas

We are asking your opinion regarding the proposals. The results of this consultation will be taken into consideration in deciding whether to extend or vary the PSPOs.
