Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) is working with us to improve journeys for people around Manchester, especially to and from the city centre. The focus is on catching the bus, walking, wheeling, and cycling. We want to improve journeys. They should be more reliable, safe, and sustainable. To do this we need to make changes and improvements to streets in Manchester. With funding from the Government's City Region Sustainable Transport Settlement (CRSTS), we are exploring options to do this, including:
-
Making bus stops better, safer and more accessible
-
Improving crossings and footpaths. Make it easier to walk, wheel, or cycle to a bus stop, and to transfer between buses and trains or trams
-
Introducing bus lanes, bus-only road sections, and new bus and traffic light priorities. They will make journeys quicker and more reliable.
We are early in this process and want to know your experiences on the transport network.
- Where should we invest?
- What would make your journeys better?
Your input will help us make the right improvements. This could be any type of journey such as going to work, school, shopping or taking part in leisure activities. These improvements are vital to the Bee Network. It's Greater Manchester's joined-up transport network. Helping us make journeys more reliable, safe, and sustainable.
You can have your say until Sunday 20 October.
We will use your feedback to plan improvements. There will be more chances to provide feedback as we develop our proposals. When we have developed plans, we will share them with the public so you can have your say on our proposals.
