Manchester’s Suicide Prevention Plan 2025-2030
This is Manchester’s third local suicide prevention plan, developed with partners across the city. It aligns with the Greater Manchester Suicide Prevention Strategy, informed by national evidence.
Since 2017, we’ve raised awareness, expanded training and support, and used data to better understand risks. A new regional plan is underway, alongside Manchester’s Mental Wellbeing Strategic Framework, which supports wider efforts to improve mental health and reduce inequalities.
Everyone has a role in suicide prevention. Through this plan, we’ll continue working with local and regional partners to help reduce suicides and support the national goal of lowering the suicide rate over the next five years.
