Planning and regeneration Statement Of Community Involvement

On 11 June 2018 the Council adopted a refreshed Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) which sets out how residents and other stakeholders can get involved in the preparation of planning policies, frameworks and neighbourhood planning processes in Manchester and also how you can make comments on planning applications received by the Council.

Consultation on the draft SCI finished on 2 October 2017 and the SCI has been amended where appropriate in light of comments received during the consultation period.

An Equality Impact Assessment Relevance Assessment of the SCI was carried out whilst the document was being prepared. The Relevance Assessment found that a full Equality Impact Assessment was not required, as the SCI would not have a disproportionate impact on any of the Equality Act protected characteristics.

The adopted SCI to be read alongside the schedule of comments made during the consultation period with the Council's response to these and the Equality Impact Assessment Relevance Assessment.

There is also a hard copy of the SCI in Central Library, St Peter's Square, Manchester.
