The new regional adoption agency

Adoption Counts is our Regional Adoption Agency, set up in 2017 to cover the adoption services for 5 Local Authorities: Cheshire East Council, Manchester City Council, Salford City Council, Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council and Trafford Council. 

  • Through Adoption Counts, we are able to: 
  • increase the number of children adopted 
  • reduce the length of time children wait to be adopted 
  • improve the support families who have adopted get 
  • reduce the number of adoption agencies  to be more efficient and effective
