Highly Skilled Young People

Skills for Life Award This award recognises a young person who has developed and used their ‘Skills for Life’ - communication, problem solving, teamwork, self-management, and self-belief to inspire and provide peer support to others in their youth group, school, or community to learn and develop their own Skills for Life.

Progressive, Resilient, and Healthy

Making a Difference Award This award recognises a young person or group that used their Skills for Life and initiative to achieve positive and lasting change for young people in the areas of safety, health, equality, identity and belonging.

Young Carer Award This award recognises the selfless dedication, care, and contribution of a person under the age of 18 who looks after a family member or friend who has a physical or mental health condition.

Living Well and Safe

Community Champion Award This award recognises a young person or group that acted and raised the profile of their community through passion, commitment, and diligence to make a positive difference and improve the quality of life for residents in their community.

Climate Action Award This award recognises a young person or group whose passion, commitment and diligence has made a positive impact upon the environment by acting on climate and environmental issues in their youth group, school, or community.

Connected and Heard

Most Effective Youth Voice or Campaign Award This award recognises a young person or group who have demonstrated effective methods of representing their voice, and the voices of others to positively influence decision-making, impact change and uphold Children's Rights.

Children’s Rights Champion This award recognises a young person or group who have championed Children's Rights and have worked tirelessly to embed these rights within their youth group, school or community ensuring children and young people know about their rights and adults value and respect their rights.

Thriving Young People

Outstanding Achievement by a Young Person Award This award recognises any outstanding achievement by a young person, who by their commitment, dedication, and tireless hard work, including overcoming challenges, has gone the extra mile to earn their achievement.

Youth Project of The Year Award This award celebrates a youth project which has created a warm, safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment, and demonstrates how young people participate in making decisions about the project.

Play Project of The Year Award This award celebrates a play project which has created a warm, safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment, and demonstrates how children participate in making decisions about the project.

Young Leader Award This award recognises a young person who has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills through the planning, development, or delivery of activities/service which has enhanced young people’s social, emotional, or physical development in their youth group, school, or community.
