How the scheme would work
People who live on the streets in the scheme would be able to apply for parking permits.
Only people with permits would be allowed to park at the busiest times. We would put up signs so people know the rules and give parking tickets if they are broken.
We cannot do this for free though. Permits would cost up to £45 for a year.
You will be able to buy an annual residents parking permit for each vehicle registered at your address. You would just need to give proof that the vehicle is registered to you at that address.
You will be able to buy an annual visitors permit for when friends or family call round.
This is a proposal. We want to know if it is something you think you need and want.
