Run Heaton Park - Sunday 20 March

 

Choose from a 5k, 10k or half marathon run - the course takes you on the paths around Heaton Park and past some of the spectacular listed buildings. This event is a great opportunity for a chip timed personal best, with music, refreshments and a themed Heaton Park medal. Easter Funfair - 1 to 18 April and 23 and 24 April

Michael Mulhearn has been running funfairs for more than thirty years. His events are a familiar fixture at Heaton Park and offer a selection of attractions, from candy floss and catering kiosks, to white-knuckle rides and a full selection of fairground favourites. The funfair will put a smile on everyone’s face!

J.W. Shaws Whit Funfair - 27 May to 5 June

JW Shaw Amusements is one the best known fairground operators in the North West of England with a rich history spanning six generations. Shaw's funfair is a familiar fixture at Heaton Park and offer a selection of attractions, from candy floss and catering kiosks, to white-knuckle rides and a full selection of fairground favourites. Parklife - 11 and 12 June

One of the annual fixtures in Manchester’s rich musical calendar, Parklife, will be returning to Heaton Park this summer. The festival is known for curating top-tier line-ups across all of the eight stages. Parklife showcases many genres and their main stage has hosted some of the biggest names in music, like their 2021 headliners who included Megan Thee Stallion and Dave. Run Heaton Park Chase the Sun - Wednesday 22 June

Chose for a 5k, 10k & 10 mile run. Running on the paths within Heaton Park, this race is a great opportunity for a chip timed personal best. There will music, refreshments and a fantastic themed Heaton Park medal. Battle to get around the course to the finish line before the sun goes down – play it safe and fly round the 5k to finish before sunset or go for the extra challenge of the 10k or 10 mile. Find out more at the Run Through Events website for more information and to book.

Manchester Festival of Nature - Sunday 26 June

The Manchester Festival of Nature brings together conservation charities, universities, Manchester Museum, local councils and community groups to celebrate the amazing nature we have in Manchester. #MFON2022 will offer wild and wonderful natural-based and artistic activities to bring people closer to nature, walks around the iconic Heaton Park with wildlife experts and interactive displays. There will be music, poetry, story-telling and talks with a nature theme. This is a great chance for families to get outdoors, for nature lovers to make new discoveries and for jobseekers to explore a career in conservation. Take Me To Church - Saturday 9 July

TMTC is an established club night where DJ’s Just Jane, Paul and Tom dig deep into the crates to bring the best funk, dance, house, funk and disco to Heaton Park. They're excited to be coming back to their summer home in Heaton Park to celebrate their 6th Birthday under the glitterball and out under the stars. Race for Life - 16 and 17 July

We all have a reason to Race. Who will you Race for? Join Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life and help raise money for research into all 200 types of cancer. After a year where vital cancer trials have been delayed, the Race for Life is more important than ever. Every two minutes, someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer. Your support, through events like the Race for Life, is what helps us continue our ground-breaking work to see more people surviving cancer. Cancer Research UK are world leaders in finding new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer. We receive no government funding for our research. We rely on the funds raised by fantastic people like you, which is why joining the Race for Life really does help us to create more tomorrows for more people. Our events include 3k, 5k and 10k routes for participants to walk, jog or run, as well as our Pretty Muddy obstacle events for Adults and Kids. Our events are fully inclusive, giving people the chance to come together with their family and friends, and join the movement to beat cancer. Come to the Beach - 23 July to 4 September

The North West’s biggest beach lands at Heaton Park for summer! Arriving on 23 July until 4 September, there’s a fun-filled family funfair with a giant beach area, complete with deck chairs, buckets and spades, childrens’ entertainment and character appearances at the weekend! The Nickelodeon Experience - 23 July to 5 August

Enter the world of Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. at The Nickelodeon Experience, a place where all your favourite TV shows come to life! With activities for kids of all ages, there’s something for the whole family to enjoy. Choose between the Nick Jr. Experience (for ages 2 to 6 years) or The Nick Studio Tour (ages 7 to 14 years), all packed with multi-sensory, interactive zones where kids can step into the world of their favourite Nickelodeon TV shows. For adventurers aged 7 and over, The Nick Studio Tour has five interactive zones... and all to be completed without parents! Beginning in The Thundermans Schools for Superheroes where kids will acquire their own super-power, before venturing into Henry Danger's Cave, a mystical maze full of hidden secrets. Kids will team up to crack the code in the Hunter Street Escape Room and journey to the Nick Studio to experience the life of a real Nick Star and walking up the famous orange carpet before heading to the Slime Time After Party for a slime-filled finale! The Nick Jr. Experience caters for those under the age of 7 and will transport young fans through four immersive play zones. First to the world of Adventure Bay to meet Chase and Marshall from the PAW Patrol before getting hands-on with arts and crafts from Baby Shark's Nig Show. Kids will enter The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' underground lair complete with a tunnel maze and finally venture to a dazzling water zone to climb aboard Santiago of the Seas' pirate ship! The Heaton Park Food Festival - 20 and 21 August

Heaton Park Food Festival is a family friendly celebration of international influence and local talent, expressed through international food, independent drink, live music, arts and charity. All of this is underpinned by our core philosophy to showcase and expose talent based in the locality. The festival takes place in Heaton Park, Manchester - a stunning location. We Love Manchester 10k - Sunday 4 September

The We Love OUR NHS Manchester 10k will again be held in Manchester’s fantastic Heaton Park, on a beautiful route, with a friendly atmosphere. Pizza Run - Sunday 11 September

Circus Zyair - 5 to 9 October
