There's so much to enjoy at Heaton Park. As well as our all-year-round activities, you can also get involved in different events taking place at the Park.

Silent Disco Hike Adventure

  • Date: 11 September
  • Time: 5.45pm to 7.30pm
  • Description: Join the Sunnywood Project at Heaton Park where spectacular parkland, hidden woodland trails, tranquil lakes and historic landmarks become the backdrop to the ultimate outdoor party adventure.
    As the sun begins to set over the park, you’ll join fellow adventurers on a guided journey through one of the UK’s largest parks. From sweeping open spaces and beautiful tree-lined avenues to hidden corners and stunning views, every step is accompanied by an incredible soundtrack played through your own Silent Disco headset.

Guided Tree ID Walk

  • Date: 17 September
  • Time: 10.30am to 11.30am
  • Location: Meet at the Stables Courtyard
  • Description: Want to learn your Oak from your Alder? Curious about the species on your doorstep? Join our new Engagement Officer Alice for a guided walk around Heaton Park, and learn how to identify some of our iconic British trees.
    Free and no booking necessary - just turn up!

Run Fanatics - Styles-Athon

  • Date: 19 September
  • Time: 10.30am to 12.30pm
  • Description: Get ready for the STYLES-ATHON 5K and 10K Fun Run, a Harry Styles themed event packed with music, colour and feel-good energy.

Manchester Foundation Trust Charity Pyjama Walk 

  • Date: 26 September
  • Time: 1pm to 4pm
    • Description: This September, we’re inviting you to get comfy in your pyjamas, onesies or dressing gowns and join us for a 5km sponsored fun walk around Heaton Park!

Sarcoma Rare But Real Walk

  • Date: 27 September
  • Time: 10am to 2pm
  • Description: Join us at Heaton Park, one of the city’s most loved green spaces, for the return of our Rare but Real Walk. Whether you fancy a relaxed stroll with your four-legged friend, or you’re up for conquering our 10km loop route, there’s something for everyone. Been here before? Bring your mates! First timer? It’s going to be great.

Alzheimer's Society Manchester Memory Walk

  • Date: 3 October
  • Time: 11am to 3pm
  • Description: Join us at Heaton Park, Manchester in autumn 2026 and share an incredible day with others who understand how it feels to be affected by dementia.
    Registrations are now open for 2026. It will take a society to beat dementia, so gather your people and sign up to be a part of it today!
    Share advice, laughter, and support at Manchester Memory Walk. And when you cross the finish line, celebrate with your medal, knowing you have walked for a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.

Bungee Jump with UK Bungee Club

  • Date: 3 and 4 October, 24 and 25 October
  • Description: Our 300ft bungee jump is a special event and happens on selective dates throughout the year and is the highest regular jump you will find anywhere in the UK. As you reach the dizzying height you will have a few seconds to appreciate the stunning scenery of Heaton Park before you take the giant leap off the 300ft platform!

SANDS Ribbon Run

  • Description: Ribbon Run is a multi-distance, Sands fundraising running event which takes place during Baby Loss Awareness Week.

    Ribbon Run is for anyone affected by pregnancy or baby loss. It's for parents, siblings, grandparents and friends. It's for colleagues and health care professionals. It's for those who are always loved and never forgotten.

    Because we all know someone who has been affected by pregnancy or baby loss. Join us at Ribbon Run Manchester and raise money to help us be there for them.

Run Heaton Park

  • Date: 11 October
  • Time: 9.30am to 11am
  • Description: We are excited to announce that the Run Heaton 5k, 10k and Half Marathon series returns for 2026. This year we’ve also added a kids race, making it a fun day out for the family! This large park, in North Manchester and home to a Grade 1 listed neoclassical 18th-century house, is the perfect setting for a fun and exciting day out.
