Markets Sunday trading at New Smithfield Market

Regular trading

You can sell products and services at New Smithfield Market every Sunday on a casual basis without needing to become a regular trader.  Casual trading spaces are not guaranteed and are allocated on a first come first serve basis.

If you would prefer to become a regular trader with a permanent trading space on the Sunday Market, including trading in fresh meat, fresh fish, or vended food like ice cream or burgers, annual licence agreements are available. The licence period is from November to October. See details of the licence fees which are per space.  The licence fee is payable regardless of whether you stand or not. There are no regular trading opportunities on the Sunday Car Boot.

How to apply

You must submit an expression of interest to us before you can make an application. If we have space available and think your products are suitable, we will contact you and ask you to make a formal application. If you are trading in fresh meat, fresh fish, or vended food like ice cream or burgers, we may also ask you to attend an interview with us before this.
