Broom Lane
The last section of works to be completed are between Cronshaw Road and the A6 Stockport Road. Residents have been told about the planned works, and more information about construction will be available in the new year.
Matthews Lane
Works have been completed outside Grange School on Matthews Lane.
Six alleyways and the new bus stop have now been completed.
Matthews Lane/Mount Road junction footpaths are completed with new tactile paving, kerbing and resurfacing. The side streets of Matthew Lane - Deepcar Street, Brook Avenue, Agnes Street, Stovell Avenue, Damian Street, Seddon Street, Randolph Street, Cuthbert Avenue, Maida Street - have also now been completed.
We are aiming to complete all major works on Matthew Lane by end of January 2025.
Slade Lane/Moseley Road/Albert Road Junction
All major works have been completed, including new traffic lights and a rain garden.

A6 Arcadia Crossing
Work on the new crossing near the Arcadia Leisure Centre on A6 Stockport Road will commence early in 2025.
A6 Sparrow Crossing (Mayford Road/ Belvoir Avenue)
The scheme’s Traffic Regulation Order process is now complete, and a decision has been made to progress with this scheme. Build costs are being prepared by the contractor, and subject to available funding work should start in spring 2025.
