International Women’s Day (IWD) is returning to Manchester as a celebration of women’s empowerment, equality and contributions to the city at Manchester Central Library on Saturday 8 March.
The annual Remembrance Sunday commemorations will take place on Sunday 12 November as Manchester falls silent, pays its respects, and remembers the fallen from past conflicts.
Manchester libraries will host a festival of events to honour our city’s pioneering Black women.
