Our Key Considerations
Our gambling policy outlines what authorisations premises will need, as well as the standards we expect.
In creating the policy, we have tried to ensure it is clear, useful and effective and provided detail to ensure:
- applicants understand what authorisations is needed, standards we expect and where to go for more information;
- Our partners - Police, Planning, Environmental Health and Manchester Safeguarding Children Board understand the arrangements; and
- Residents and their representatives (including ward councillors and MPs) know what options are available to them and how they can get involved.
Our policy includes strong safeguards to effectively promote the licensing objectives.
We want to make the most of opportunities we have been given to prevent problem gambling and ensure that if people gamble, they do so responsibly.
