Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP)
The Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) is additional funding available to early years providers to support the development and learning of eligible children aged 9 months to 4 years.
Who is eligible?

What is the funding for?
EYPP helps providers:
- Enhance the quality of early education.
- Support children’s communication, language, and personal development.
- Improve school readiness and long-term outcomes.
How does it work?
- EYPP funding is paid directly to your childcare provider.
- It does not affect any benefits you receive.
- EYPP can be claimed termly.
What do parents need to do?
- To allow your childcare provider to check eligibility:
- Complete the EYPP section on your Parent Agreement Form.
- Provide consent for the provider to carry out the eligibility check.
Please note: Your childcare provider cannot use EYPP to provide you with any additional hours of childcare.
Disability Access Fund (DAF)
The Disability Access Fund (DAF) supports children with disabilities aged 9 months to 4 years in accessing early years education.
Who is eligible?

What is the funding for?
DAF is intended to help providers:
- Make reasonable adjustments to improve access and inclusion.
- Purchase resources or equipment to support the child’s needs.
- Create a more inclusive learning environment.
How does it work?
- DAF funding is paid directly to your childcare provider.
- It does not affect any benefits you receive.
- DAF can be claimed once per year.
What do parents need to do?
To enable your provider to claim DAF:
- Indicate your child receives DLA on the Parent Agreement Form.
- Provide a copy of your child’s current DLA award letter.
- Give consent for the provider to submit the claim.
Please note: Your childcare provider cannot use DAF to provide you with any additional hours of childcare.
