Evidence Base for previous stages

The first stage in the production of the Core Strategy of the Local Development Framework is currently underway.

It is a requirement of the new planning system that the preparation of the Core Strategy must be informed by an up-to-date evidence base on key aspects of the social, economic and environmental characteristics of an area.

The following studies and monitoring regimes have been undertaken or will be commissioned to provide the necessary evidence base for local development documents and secure baseline information for sustainability appraisal.

This list will expand as issues are identified, other City Council strategies emerge and studies are undertaken:
