Workstream #3: Reducing consumption based emissions and influencing suppliers

Introduction

The Council and the city need to reduce consumption of goods and products that have the highest carbon footprint. This requires behaviour change and a shift in what we buy or procure, and where it comes from.

Commitment

Reduce the consumption on Council premises of single use plastics and other goods which are unsustainable. Influence the city through procurement and commissioning and other levers including licensing.
