Development #11 – Wythenshawe Hospital
About Wythenshawe Hospital
Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and Bruntwood are planning to transform the Wythenshawe Hospital Campus, which already employs 5,000 people through major investment in the estate, its infrastructure and the local community. The plans will lead to the development of a sustainable health village, enhancing the Hospital, and providing complementary commercial, leisure and retail facilities and public realm.
Development will include a range of new top-specification research facilities to support the Trust in delivering innovation in healthcare. A key focus for the site will be delivering inclusive growth with opportunities to support local employment, provide links to the neighbouring communities of Wythenshawe and Trafford and promote active travel.
