Social services What is a PA and where can you find one?

Care Leaver Community Hubs and Family Hubs

The Care Leavers Community Hubs are a ‘one stop shop’ for care leavers aged 16-25, where you’ll find whatever information you need.

They are welcoming, relaxing spaces where you can:

  • Meet people - like other care leavers and professionals who work with young people
  • Check in and keep in touch - let's have a chat with a brew
  • Reconnect with the service if your circumstances have changed
  • Get expert advice on things like housing, money, and your health.

Here are the current drop-ins (we plan to open more):

  • Mondays: 12 noon to 5pm at Manchester Central Library, St Peter’s Square, M2 5PD
  • Tuesdays: 9am to 4pm at Gorton Sacred Heart Family Hub, Glencastle Road, M18 7NE
  • Thursdays: 9am to 8pm at the Moss Side Millenium Powerhouse, 140 Raby Street, Manchester, M14 4SL.

Or find a Community Hub PA at your local Family Hub on all other days.

The Community Hubs also hold social events - hub PAs will reach out to invite you to these sessions, and to keep in touch throughout the year to make sure all is well.
