Roads and transport Scheme Activation grant funding

What happens after you submit your application

Step by step guide for the process.

Step 1

Complete and submit the on-line application form, remembering to upload copies of any estimates or quotes to show the cost of your project, and details of any other funding that you have received or applied for;

Step 2

Your application will be reviewed by a panel. This can take up to 14 working days, however your Scheme Activation lead will advise of the timescales as your application progresses. Unfortunately, we may not be able to fund all good projects as there may be more applications than there is money available. However, all applications will be considered carefully;

Step 3

We will send you an email to advise if your application has been successful or not. If you have been unsuccessful this time, please remember that you can apply again in the future;

Step 4

If your application is successful, we will send you an offer email which may include special conditions attached to your grant approval, together with a link to an acceptance form. This form should be completed (online) including your groups or referee organisation’s bank account details. This must be completed within two weeks of the funding date otherwise the funding offer may be withdrawn. Please also note if you have not worked with Manchester City Council previously, your company or group will have to be setup on our vendor’s list. This process can take up to six weeks and has to be completed before payments can be made;

Step 5

Ensure you keep all original receipts and invoices for any work undertaken on your project. You will need to submit the above alongside a monitoring & evaluation form (see step 9);

Step 6

When you accept the funding, you agree to complete your project by a set date (shown within the offer email,). If you do not think you will be finished by this date, you must contact us immediately;

Step 7

If you have indicated that the grant will be paid directly to your group, then the monies will be paid within 20 working days;

Step 8

If the grant is to be paid to a third party (referee organisation) then this may take a little longer;

Step 9

When your project is finished, you must complete and submit (online) the monitoring & evaluation form that was sent to you within the offer email.
