Training, School and Community Engagement

The Our Town Hall project supports Manchester residents, and offers chances for people to develop their skills, get qualifications, and move into - or further into - employment. We’re already working with a number of Manchester residents through work placements and school or community engagement, and will be expanding this offer to more residents.

There will be several ways that residents can get involved:
•    a visit by project staff to your school or community organisation to talk about their work (this could focus on careers advice, employment, and STEM options).
•    work placements for students aged 14 to 16, or 17+. There is no upper age limit on who we can accommodate on a placement.
•    apprenticeships at all levels (from trade-based work, such as joinery or stone masonry, to professional roles, such as architecture or project management)

If you’re part of a school or community organisation that works with people in education, employment or training and want to discuss how we could support your work, email ourtownhall@manchester.gov.uk
