Stage 2: application appointment
At your appointment your:
- CBS online Disclosure application will be checked and if everything is in order, it will be submitted to the Disclosure Barring Service, your identity and right to work in the UK will also be checked;
- DVLA licence status; and
- medical (where required).
If you have previously attended an appointment you may not need to attend another and your application will progress straight to Stage 4
DBS certificate
Your DBS certificate information will be returned to us electronically:
- if clear, your application will go to Stage 3; or
- if not clear, you will be asked to attend a further meeting at the customer service centre with your Disclosure Barring Certificate. Our ‘Panel Team will review the certificate to decide if there’s anything that needs to be considered at a hearing. The panel team will tell you directly if you will need to attend a hearing.
