Make a request

If you want to ask for your child to start later you should send us:

• Your child's name and date of birth;
• The schools you have applied to; and
• a statement clearly giving your reasons. You should also send any evidence you have to support your request, such as letters from any professionals who may be involved - like a doctor or speech therapist.

Up until 15 January you will get a decision within 20 days of us receiving the request. After that we'll make decisions as soon as possible.
