Core Strategy Submission
Core Strategy Submission Documents
On the 18th July Manchester City Council submitted its Core Strategy Development Plan Document to the Secretary of State for independent examination, following the Publication consultation stage in February and March this year. The following documents were submitted alongside the Core Strategy:
- Schedule of changes to the Core Strategy suggested by the Council following the Publication stage
- Sustainability Appraisal and appendices
- In its submission to the Secretary of State, Manchester City Council made a determination that the proposed amendments to the Core Strategy Development Plan Document Publication Consultation (February 2011) do not require a further Sustainability Appraisal or an Environmental Impact Assessment. The reasons for this determination are set out in the Determination Statement of the need for an Environmental Assessment of the suggested changes to the Core Strategy for Submission

Core Strategy Submission Supporting Documents
The documents below form the evidence base for the Core Strategy at submission stage. A full set of paper copies of these documents (and those listed above) is available at the Core Strategy Examination Library in Heron House, 47 Lloyd Street, Manchester. The submission documents and evidence base can also be viewed (via CD) in Manchester libraries and at the Council's Customer Service Centre at One First Street, at the junction of Albion Street and Whitworth Street West. The Service Centre is open from 8am-5pm between Monday and Friday; for a list of libraries and their opening hours please see www.manchester.gov.uk/directory/14/libraries.
The Core Strategy Examination is likely to take place in October/November this year.
