Consultations and surveys NOMA Consultation

Proposal

The original Strategic Regeneration Framework (SRF) for NOMA set out the aim to create an innovative commercially-led, neighbourhood with a mix of uses. It was anticipated that this development would support the creation of 15,000 jobs and significantly support the local economy.

At the July 2020 Executive meeting, the City Council’s Executive approved in principle a draft SRF update to help guide the next phases of development within the NOMA area of the City Centre. The Executive requested that the Chief Executive undertake a public consultation with local stakeholders and report the outcome to the Executive in due course, prior to a final framework being agreed.

The delivery of the next phases of development at NOMA will continue to support new employment and enterprise opportunities for Manchester residents across a range of sectors and levels. In addition, NOMA will continue to drive social value through construction, post development and its volunteering programme.
