Extra Care Housing offers self-contained apartments for people 55 and over. It's an affordable housing option for if you need extra support at home.
We work with housing providers to deliver care that works for you. The housing providers offer housing related support and landlord services. Care providers contracted by us deliver personal care.

- You have your own tenancy and the privacy of your own front door. You have access to the 24-hour flexible care and support services based onsite if and when you need them. This enables you to remain independent, now and in the future.

- You have the reassurance that staff onsite can provide support in an emergency.
- You can live in a home designed to meet your needs. You'll have assistive technology in place to support your independence.
- You can be part of a vibrant community and make new friends.
- If you have Care Act eligible care needs, these can be provided to you in a personalised way.
- Extra care schemes offer communal areas to tenants and a variety of other facilities. These may include:
- a bistro or cafe,
- hair and beauty salon,
- bathing suites; and
- guest rooms for friends and family to stay overnight.
